Default 2004 LS430 Navigation/DVD

Ive been doing research and haven't gotten a straight answer.. How do I get my factory navigation to play DVDs??? I found some things at Beatsonic but am not sure if any of that plays DVDs.. Also I'm in Hawaii where as my Navigation doesn't work. Maps in Hawaii for Lexus weren't updated till 06. The screen still works for radio ac and etc except for Navigation. Its sole purpose lol. Any info will help.. Thanks in advance. Aloha

It's just a thought, but go with a nice updated head unit. Get an plug and play adapter and install it. I did an AVIC 5000 unit - nav / dvd / bluetooth etc

I am new to the 430, but how can you mount this unit in place of the Navi screen - wouldn't you lose the functionality of the HVAC?

That;s awesome, dude! Hit those waves and forget about posting what you found that may work for the others that want the same mod. Or would that be called selfish if you really did hit the waves?

Sarcasm aside - it is polite to always remember to include a link or explanation to whatever the resolution was on a thread. Forum etiquette so others that area searching can find it and use the idea. And it doesn't matter if it does not work - the idea is to share.

Well I apologize for that one. I talked to someone so there wasn't any link but for future reference I will definitely do that
