Have a problem with my fuel gauge reads 3/4 when full. Replaced both sending units still same problem. Range reads 338. Ran it to 85 on range and ran out of fuel. Did it twice just to troubleshoot the system. Only maintenance I done of this car is change front driver 02 sensor back in Apr 16 and use lucas fuel cleaner.

 

How much fuel did it take to fill the tank after you ran it empty? It sounds like it's only filling to 3/4 and the gauge is reading correctly. My range reads over 400 when filled.

 

12 gallons fill it all the way up. Guage was showing lil under half tank.

 

So previously the gauge shows 75% when the tank is full, and now with the new sending units, the gauge shows less than 50% when the tank is full?

Please take a look at the attached troubleshooting procedures...

 

Sunday ran tank to 90 miles on range til empty needle read 1/4. Took 20 gallons to fill car couldn't take no more gas needle read 3/4 when completely full. After both sending units replaced.
