Great discussion around the mod here thanks for getting involved folks. A lot of useful stuff being shared and out gotta respect anyone willing to get into the electronics themselves.

I didn't post this here because I created a separate post but here is my most recent addition. Fabulous Billet Grill vinyl wrapping the chrome surround and window trim gloss black next.

The Y cable will be connected as I drew in the picture below.
My small wire is going to the screen (cause when I put all thing of Y cable -> the power of CD changer is on but no info to the screen until i connect that small jack).
Ok. I think it makes sense now that you've drawn it. Thanks so much for all of your help!!

It will be a week or so before the Y cable arrives, so I'll wait until it gets here before I take pictures. Hopefully, I wont have any problems and it starts right up.

In the meantime, I've been organizing music onto usb's and SD disks I have laying around. From what I've read, I'm organizing files into 6 folders for each usb (CD01, CD02, . . . ) and limiting each folder to 99 tracks. Has that worked for you?

I have an old ipod, which I'll also connect and probably connect my Android phone via the Aux cable. I read that you need to disconnect the usb and SD discs in order to play from aux. Are there other limitations playing between different types of media that you've noticed?

I arrange 6 folders with number of songs around 50.
I did connect my iphone to the AUX -> working well but once again, cannot use the audio control on the steering wheel for AUX input -> thus I didnt use my phone for music anymore.
And yes, you have to disconnect the USB/SD Card for playing by AUX.
I mainly use the MP3 file with the highest bit rate 320kbps.

Anyway, we are in different time zone (in Vietnam is GMT + 7) so my response could take time, sorry for any inconvenience.

Looking forward for your installing procedure if possible.

SUCCESS!!!

After being shipped the wrong adapter cable, I received the correct one today and everything works. I'm very happy with the result. Can't beat the price of the Yatour.

The back of my headunit looks different than @doanvien's. My 2004 LS430 (with Nav & Mark Levinson) has a large plug and a small plug. The small plug is a 6+6 and the large is 20-pin like @doanvien has. The Yatour runs off the small 6+6.

When I first bought the adapter cable on AliBaba, the Vendor said his cable would fit my car - it did not. He sent me an adapter of all large 20-pins. (I got that cable for $11 with free shipping. It came straight from China. How in the world do they ship an item all the way from China for $11 and still make money?)

So, I had to wait for the new cable to arrive. This time, I made sure to order a cable of all 6+6 (even though the vendor who sold e the Yatour on Amazon insisted I needed a different cable). Be sure to look at your headunit before you buy the cable because the guides they post aren't accurate.

The two cables (the small one is the correct one for my car):

This is what the back of my headunit looks like. The small plug is unplugged and ready for the adapter harness:

Plug in the adapter harness:

(The black plug at the bottom of the pic above is not part of the Yatour. It is your emergency flashers switch.)

Attach the Yatour and the original plug to the harness:

(Again, the black plug the Yatour is resting against is the emergency flashers switch - not part of the Yatour.)

IMPORTANT! The Y adapter is not interchangeable. One side of the Y matches the Yatour and the other matches the head unit. It is difficult to tell them apart, so if it doesn't work when you first plug it in, reverse the plugs and try again.

When it is plugged in, you now have an option for "CD2 Changer". Here it is reading off of my sd card. If you push the "title" button on the Nav screen, it will display the song titles. Also works with my ipod with the included cable, my phone through the 3.5mm aux, and usb.

Installing the Yatour: I had considered a few options: glovebox or under the steering wheel, to the left of the stereo. Then I found that there is a very accessible gap between the dash piece and floor carpet. There is also a very convenient gap between the seat and console which is the perfect size for the Yatour. It is very discreet and easily accessible. It is not fancy, but it seems to be the best spot for me.

So far, I'm very happy with it. If you get one, just be sure to get the correct adapter harness to avoid some hassle.

Big thanks to @doanvien who helped me a lot during this process!

.
I was happy to learn that the steering wheel controls also work with the SD card and USB. I was worried it might only be for the ipod.

I haven't prepped a usb with music yet, but I did load up a SD Card. The good news is that I arranged the SD Card with 6 folders (CD01, CD02, CD03 . . .) but I put 99 songs in each folder and it works just fine with that many songs.

Great to hearing it, Oside Turbo.
I place my Yatour on the glovebox. Also I got it get lagged 2 times (for 2 months), since then I turned off the audio and disconnected the yatour, then re-connected and it worked well again.
And the disadvantage is: too many songs to hear so I press "next, next, next, next..." hahahahhaaaaa.
Even I am in Vietnam and we have some foreign affairs to China, but somehow, thanks to the mega factory of this earth

Please share if you experience anything new with your car

^^^^^^^ $350 plus $50 shipped and if you want it painted $100 more. I wanted mine painted oem but he said he could only do basic colors. I was going to have it wrapped locally vs. Painting at that point for the sake of possible resale later. Potential second owner would still have a clean slate to work with. Plus I could have wrapped the chrome surround at the same time.

It's a nice looking grill and based on what I could see there haven't been too many sent to the states.
