I hooked up my tablet over the existing navigation screen with magnets by removing the nav bezel and installing magnets behind it so when im not using the tablet the console still looks clean....i know its not the best looking but i have acess to all my music, internet, new maps....etc.....and it all plays through my bluetooth radio...whatcha guys think?

You gotta keep removing it to access radio and climate controls.

yeah I have an aftermarket radio so I listen to the radio through iheart or any other radio app....the only thing I really need to navigation screen for is the climate control. This is very easily moved and attached since its only magnets holding everything in place...the magnets are so powerful that the tablet never moves while I drive or never falls since the tablet is also very light.

I'm assuming that you will be removing the tablet whenever the car is parked. Let's see what it looks like when the tablet is removed.

I would be concerned of having to make a hard sudden stop, or worse a collission, and the pad becoming a projectile

I've made many hard stops and it doesn't move...I used neodymium magnets..which are very small and very powerful..in regards to a collision it's true that it might come loose, but then again so could my phone on a suction cup on my windshield

This wouldn't last on a slammed car. Luckily for you the LS is a smooth ride and you don't have to worry about that

Here's a picture with the tablet removed. All magnets are behind the gray bezel

how did you get that single din to work?

To be honest I bought the car with the single din already in. The speakers and amp are all aftermarket. I'm assuming the previous owner spliced into the factory harness somehow.

It looks clean. I thought the magnets would be an eye sore but you can't even see it
