Front fog light upgrade
I have been wondering what my options are for upgrading the front fog lights. My main thinking is to match the Xenon mains. Can I simply replace them with more powerful bulbs? Can I just swap them for LED with no issues?
I know there is an HID kit, although that does look more involved.
The last thing I want is for it to start causing other problems.

You best bet is a HID kit or a high quality LED kit. I have a high quality LED kit from www.vleds.com
the name says it already: they are foglights - not aux. highbeams
In fog conditions the best "seeing" is yellow light and low position to undercut the fog. Try highbeams in fog and you are going nowhere. All you see is a white wall in front of you.
In northern Europe country like Belgium you are not allowed to drive with even lowbeams in fogconditions, only your "standlicht" which is incorporated in the headlamp housing. And of course the fog does not allow you to drive fast anyway.
These high output lights in the foglight housing are very annoying. Might as well drive with 6 spotlights mounted on the moonroof

Greetings Ls owners! I installed a 4300k hid kit for my fog lamps. They now match my awesome factory hid low beams. I also installed led strips around my headlights. The hid fog light kit is very easy to install except for removing the wheel wells, which isn't hard but it is necessary. As you can see, when the leds are off, you can't even notice they are installed. I have them wired to come on when the car is on. In the second pic, the ignition switch is in the acc position so they are not lit up.
