Default Quick Timing Belt Question

Going to do the timing belt on my 2005 LS tomorrow. The kit I got (Amazon Aisin TKT-021), did not come with the small square gasket circled in red in this image. Anyone know what it's for and why I didn't get one? I think it might be for the water pump to thermostat housing, which I've seen many people just use RTV on.

Thanks!
AN

That looks like Water Bypass Joint gasket...

It's not necessary to remove the Water Bypass Joint to change timing belt.

Thanks for the info! I wonder why they include it in some kits but not others.
