Has Anybody ever heard of a light inside the center armrest console between the two front seats? I couldn't see one on my 05 ls430 but somebody said there is one inside there that illuminates when you have the headlights on ?

 

Yes, there is an amber-colored light in there. Look for the light diffuser.

 

am sorry I don't see anything , where would this be located ? there are two parts to the arm rest

 

It's down in the bottom of the armrest console on one of the walls.

 

Thanks for responding boomer , but I don't see anything , I guess the LS430 model for 2005 didn't have one

 

There's a light inside the arm rest console compartment in the 2001 and 2006 models ...

 

It's at the top passenger side toward the rear of the arm rest compartment.

 

ok Tom Thank you very much I will look again when I get home , I hope if I do find it , its not a nightmare to change the bulb? I hope its easy like the puddle lights or something

 

ok thanks again everybody, I got home and did a thorough examination of the arm rest , there is definitely no light anywhere to be found , my brother even looked , he didn't see anything , I also consulted the owners manuel and there is no mention of a light inside there, so perhaps they skipped this year!! that's weird too this is supposed to be the model below the ultra , it even has those washers things on the bumper for the headlights .loll I give up

 

It's there. I didn't think mine had it at first either. It is only on when the park/head lights are on and it is very dim. Go out in the dark and turn the parking lights on and look for it on the passenger side closer to the back of the box. I wanted to change the bulb to white but when I took the console apart to fix the loose lid I took that light out and it didn't look like it would be easy to change.

2006 non-UL here.

 

Look for the long rectangular plastic lens.

 

It's not that clear if it's not one you will never see it. It is integrated will into the side.
In the pic you can see it just below the top of the pen. Hop this helps.
