Headlight low beam question.
My 430 was doing the same thing , then I replace the bulb and everything is fine again . I went to a local shop and he had a pair of oem d2r laying around because somebody swap them out for some aftermarket one . He sold it to me for 20 dollars , so I bought it. I notice when the light beam turns yellowish then the bulb is actually dying. I believe they're Phillip brand . He said he gets them in all the time when people decide to change them out. A matter of fact alot of oem factory are Phillip. I actually like the sylvania hid better on my 99 LS.

Good question, yes there is a difference. As we know, the headlight assembly is different on the '01 - ''03 vs. the '04 - '06. The bulb required for each is also different due to the different type of headlight in the model years. The D2R is for reflector headlight assemblies ('01 - '03); D2S is for projector headlight assemblies ('04 - '06). The two bulbs are a different construction to disperse the light according to the type of headlight. Also, the bulb base is different so they are not interchangeable.
