Have to do the old console lid fix.plus my cup holder is going to have to be replaced (2005 LS430).

Question: Is the cupholder attached to the console where it would be easy access when I remove the console to repair the lid? Would love to do this in one operation if I could.

Hi Andy.....U will have far more access for the cup holders if u remove the wooden console piece. To do so u have to remove shift ****......heated seat bottom wood console panel.......chrome shift trim.......then finally the wood console piece......then the cup holder is right before your eyes. I just did this trim removal........pm me if u want detailed instructions........the console storage lid repair seemed as if it was going to be very easy.....but dont under estimate this tighten up repair....there are a few hoops u have to jump through to get it right. It is so worth it in the end though. I will enclose a pic of wood trim removed on console....
