Window Issues
Hey fellas & fellettes, just joined.
2003 Lexus LS430
Both the driver side's front and rear windows have some sort of condensation appearing "inside" the window. It's neither on the outside of the window nor inside. Located pretty much center of the window at the bottom where the window meets the door. Radius approx. 6" (half circle since the other half disappears into the door).
Another description would be how you hold a lighter close to plastic and watch it shrivel up. That's what it looks like and then mist/condensation-like surroundings. Any ideas what this could be? The driver side window is also super slow to go down, in case that has anything to do with this.

You need to grease the window seals with Shun-Etsu to make them roll smooth again. See these threads:

Post a picture of the window condensation.

Post a picture of the window condensation.
In advance of the pictures, I will make a guess that it is delamination since the car is a CL.
Does the glass have the word "LAMISAFE" in the data block? (It should.)
This is a known (but not too common) problem.

Thanks for the replies. I will post pics as soon as the weather clears up.
Lamisafe is a good guess since my first impression was that something plastic inside shriveled up. I'll check the label on the window (if any).
I have a few issues I'm hoping I can either handle on my own with the help of the forum or have it repaired without getting ripped off at the stealership.
- Check Cruise System light (cruise control not working)
- Check Parking Sensor light (when activated the front of the car in the image blinks) - not sure how to locate which sensor is out
- Taillamp Failure light
- VSC light

I read up a little on the lamisafe/laminate windows the CL comes with and can pretty much confirm this is the issue I'm experiencing with the two windows.
I called Lexus dealer and the quote I received was $815 for the front driver side window and $800 for the rear driver side. That's INSANE!
Can anyone recommend an alternate place to purchase from at significantly lower prices?
(I called local Lexus Sdealer, I'm in Toronto, Canada).

Search and contact auto recyclers and auto glass repair shops for quotes. (Were the quotes for the glass windows only, or is that glass and installation?) If you're a DIY'er, consider installing yourself. Also, check with your insurance to see if perhaps it's covered under comprehensive. You could also consider the non-laminate window as replacements - less expensive.

Tom, will the non-laminate replacement fit just as good? Will there be a noticeable difference in exterior noise entering the cabin?

Found a site online that sells wholesale OEM Lexus parts. I'm looking at new replacements for both windows for approx. $500 for both.
Does anyone have any experience with this company? http://www.oemlexusparts.com/
Also, he searched according to my VIN #, so I am assuming it's safe to say the windows will therefore be lamisafe/laminate as my current original windows are?

01-06 ... same glass front and rear
Get him to work with you on the price... See if he will match the price on the drivers door from this Ebay posting
Drivers glass - $199

Of course shipping costs are expensive to Canada.. looks as if you may have found a good deal depending on shipping charges..

Use your CL name to register with Sewell Parts: http://lexus.sewellparts.com/
I would not assume the quote is for laminated windows, ask.

I don't know if there is / will be a color or sound difference between the two windows. Both types will fit for your model year.
