has anyone here tried to modify there stock struts to be used on a tank and compressor setup?

 

There are aftermarket air suspension kits available. The amount of fabrication to make a stock airbag work with an aftermarket tank makes it cost prohibitive. Plus the oem airbags were not designed to operate like this.
