If I were to upgrade I really think this is the direction I would go. Very nice and modern. I would love to see someone do this or talk about the best what to integrate this system in a 430 with Nav. The reviews are fantastic. I bet Google will be following suit soon.
Pioneer this week released its CarPlay firmware update, making it the first aftermarket receiver manufacturer to offer CarPlay to consumers. Among Pioneer's U.S. models, CarPlay is available for the $1400 AVIC-8000NEX, the $1200 AVIC-7000NEX, the $900 AVIC-6000NEX, the $750 AVIC-5000NEX and the $700 AVH-4000NEX. CarPlay is also compatible with Pioneer's new $600 smartphone receiver, AppRadio 4. Consumers can generally find Pioneer's units at significant discounts from list price from a variety of retailers.
The Beatsonic kit is for units without Navigation correct? I thought the Original post wanted to add this double din to an LS that had the factory nav...
I may be wrong but I believe the Beatsonic is available for both ML Nav and non-Nav cars.
You are CORRECT SIR! Where's the like button on this forum- YOU get a big from me! Not sure how I missed that when I went looking some time ago...
Great to know, should my system go belly up or I'm just bored in a few years- this could be a lot of fun to add such a system. Not sure that wood kit looks so smooth- anyone know if the paint is an exact match on the plastic? For $400, I should hope so.
I'm an Apple device addict, and very much want to get Apple Carplay into a 2002 RX300. Can anyone please tell me if, and how, this might be possible?? Thanks so much! I know this is an old thread so I may post this same question in other similar threads. I'm new to the forum. Someone correct me if I break the rules!! Thanks. PS The above Pioneer unit mentioned does seem to allow SOME Apple things, such as SIRI, but does not mention Apple Carplay.
