Just traded my 2002 LS with 198K for a 2003 LS with 40k. Wondering which parts I should replace preemptively since it is 12 years old. My other LS had the radiator surge tank break at 125. Love the LS, it cost me 11 plus my old car and I just love it. Put new Michelins on her and on my way to another 200k.

 

transmission fluid change, brake fluids, power steering fluid, check the LCA bushings, tie rods ends (inner and outer), check the condition of the drive belt and timing belt, water pump, thermostat, clean MAF sensor, clean throttle body, check out the state of the spark plugs, check hood and trunk struts, change coolant, check brake pads and rotors, check struts condition (esp. if air struts), change engine and cabin air filters, change seat air filters, clean the smog sensor in front on the radiator, check spare tire psi. check alignment, check valve cover gasket if leaking, check engine and transmission mounts.
