Default 2001 ls430 suspension airbag blown... help!

my front passenger airbag is done. my driver side is leaking and im assuming the rear isnt far behind. therefore i was recommended by my mechanic to take out the stock air and put in regular stock suspensions. but i will have the check engine on. any advice on what i can do? i was told a factory air replacement would run about 1k+ per wheel. please help me out! any advice is greatly appreciated. im tight on cash so taking the airbags out and replacing them with regular springs is a cheaper fix. i was quoted 1200. thanks

cheapest route would be to go with standard struts. 1200 sounds pretty reasonable. air would cost at least 700 per strut = 2800 minimum.

Your won't have any warning lights if you leave the height sensors in place. Don't remove them. Just pull the fuse that supplies power to the compressor.

Coilovers or regular coils and shocks is probably the cheapest. Or you can look for a set of used air shocks.

I'll be honest with u - change to regular springs/struts. It's actually smoother than the air suspension anyhow. The air suspension works great for the first maybe 50k miles and after that it feels worse than oem.

Thanks guys for the great advice! I was debating on getting airbags but didn't want the same issue down the road. Now I have to find some regular struts/springs. My mechanic said he's having a hard time finding some. Back order etc. So if you know anyone selling let me know. Thanks again.

KYB is what you want. They are the OEM manufacturer. I would search salvage years for the coils. No need to buy new. You will also need the strut / shock mounts.
