Filling the fender gap
I am thinking of filling my ls 430 fender gap with coil over and 18 inches stock wheels. I know many peeps like to upgrade to bigger after market wheels. However, i am trying to stay with oem wheels as much as i can because of the suspension , bearing will last longer with oem wheels than going for bigger wheels. Any feedback will be appreciated.
here are the bad side effects.
if you go with a larger wheel (over), you will have to go with a smaller side wall (under), this will make you very vulnerable to pot holes and pavement edges.
other than that, it will over a slightly better ride.
but keep in mind, the Lexus engineer spent a lot of time making this rig SILENT. and any changes to the suspension, and wheel changes do qualify, may take away from the ride and luxury of this rig.
here is his truck so you can kinda see what i mean. his is the first truck noted, Toy Rover.
wheels are very important on these sorts of things you know.

that shouldnt be that huge of a change
just make sure your suspension and turning isnt going to be effected
when we used to put huge tires on the pickups, one of the issues was hitting things in the wheel well with the tires, or worse, smashing the fender if you hit a big enough bump.
