I currently have 1 accident, 1 ticket, and my mom has 1 accident (she's on my policy for the car) to give you a general background of my driving history. I went with State Farm here in Atlanta and purchased full coverage since the car is financed. My policy has great coverage and my deductible is $500. I currently pay $150 a month to give you a ballpark. I'm 26, single, and have a 04 LS430 UL. Hope this helps!

+1 on AAA,

State Farm jumped $100 a month to $350 on me, and i have no points or accident in over 10 years. when i inquired the reason for the change i was told it was because of rising payouts in my area. If that wasn't bad enough they wanted over over $1000 more on my homeowners. At that time i got 5 estimates on my insurance and AAA won and I saved a TON , i check back almost yearly since then and they still keep winning.

Age of the driver, your location, and listing the car as primary or secondary vehicle is a major factor. Of course, tickets and accidents will effect the rates as well.

Progressive is a very good insurance company. I used to use them. They were number 2 in my price shopping.

USAA is who I went with. Check out progressive as well. I pay $81.00 a month for 100/300 with 500 deductible and the car is my primary.

Definitely shop around every year or two, and not just for auto insurance. The days of insurance companies taking care of you for being a longstanding customer are long gone.

My wife had the same policy for something like 8 years, and her invoice for renewal got lost in the mail. Her insurance company wanted all sorts of ridiculous penalty fees, so she shopped around and found basically the same coverage with a major insurer for about half the price. She's kicking herself for not shopping around years ago, you're talking thousands of dollars down a black hole.

The insurance companies you send a check to on autopilot usually don't come to you and offer discounts. They figure if you're writing them the check, you must be happy with their price and service.

If Wawanesa covers your area, I would highly suggest them. They had good coverage and the bill wasn't too steep until I picked up a few speeding tickets and they dropped me :'(

I just switched to State Farm and the price hasn't been too bad. I used to get insurance from the company my step-dad owns and it was like $110 for my 93 SC300 and $130 for my 05 LS430 each month. Now I pay $50 a month for my SC with all of my mods insured and $120 for the LS and all of the aftermarket parts.
