Default Is this a good deal?

Wassup CL. I have a 01 GS430 and was looking into getting an 04 LS430 Ultra Luxury package and I found one for $13 with 124k miles all the options silver with black leather. Do you guys think this is a good deal? And do you think it's worth getting this car? How is it compared to my gs430 and what can I expect to fix down the line as the miles rise. Thanks everyone!

Default Possibly a Good Choice - Good Service Records Will Be Key

That's a pretty fair price. Review the maintenance history carefully. Was the 90K done? including the timing belt?
Expect the air suspension to be a sensitive area. Many have no problems, but many have had trouble too and it can be expensive to repair or swap out for coil overs. Read the posts on this.

In general it would be nice to find something with half that mileage but it will be $3K to $4K more and harder to find. If this one has been well taken care of - records are key, then it could be a good choice. Go on the My Lexus site of Toyota's and put in the VIN to check for records. If they are not there, then someone had better have paper to show you or it's all talk.

Good luck.

With a solid history yur a thief at 12,500 if air susp checks out. Start a repair fund for the air but I think yur golden to 175k if maintained. The LS is a mature driven car with usually solid history. inspection mandatory.

In my experience, it would be greater than $3-4K more for a UL, but YMMV. I think the best way to do comparative pricing is to use Auto Trader, paying attention to regional price variations.
I agree with warminwisc - you are getting a fantastic deal (assuming the condition is good as mentioned above).
At this mileage, the TB is critical if it has not been done at 90K.

Also on the '04s, check that the Transmission TSB has been done. It should appear in the Lexus dealer service records which you can access by registering on lexus.com.

Yea I know about the tranny recall but I don't think it was every 04 that was affected so I'm guessing if it drives good and doesn't shift hard the tranny will be fine because I haven't heard of anyone saying their tranny went bad when it was already over 90k it's usually pre mature and Lexus addressed that. (At least I think)

There's anther one with only 85k miles the guy said he will take 14 flat for it. 04 UL black with orange leather but its in Montreal Canada. If anyone wants that one let me know ill give you the info. I think that's an even better deal. Much less miles for 1,000 more

Looks good but that's too much and he doesn't sound like he's going to budge much. I rather have the 04 since its the same and save like $5,000

$19k is a great deal for that, seeing as it's a southern car and has been well kept. Someone needs to jump on that.

Check out today's post in "Considering an 04 UL. Advice". The recall was for '04s up to Jan 15, 2004 mfg.
However, the ECM update was for all '04s and early '05s.
Hope this helps.
