Default Oil Overfill

I will put the dealership on notice that Lexus Corp is awrare on the issue just in case there is a problem later down the road. I.E., it states in the manual "do not over fill".

I have neighbor had an issue with his LS430 (transmission); is was serviced by a local dealer. He had no prior issues with his transmission before visiting the dealer; service tech mentioned that it was due a tansmission fluid change and flush. He had the work done the the trouble started. The dealer denied any wrong doing. We talked it over and it was recommended, that he write a letter to the service manager and Lexus Corp Customer Service Dept. Lexus sent him letter requesting that he give them a few days to research the issue; they came back and authorized a new transmission be replaced at the dealers' expense. Lexus enjoys having that "top customer service rating.".

Then it is certainly better than in this country.
Over here Lexus Netherlands does not even take the trouble to respond to a complaint letter!

You will not have any issues down the road due to only being that much over filled. There is alot more fudge factor in over filling it by a 1 1/2 qts.
