The Nav DVD player on my '01 LS with 225K+ miles is not reading the map disc anymore. Screen shows "Disc Read Error." The disc is only 2 years old. I've tried cleaning the lens with air blast and inserted a disc cleaner. Should the unit be refurbished? If so, who does that service? Since the system is the old Gen 2/3, can I upgrade to the Gen 4 DVD player system (from the '04 - '06 LS) - are the units interchangeable? (A Gen 4 disc would be required as well.) It seems that the updated discs have so much information on them that the old Gen 2/3 doesn't have the computer processing ability to handle it.
