Ls430 mirror motor
my left mirror works up and sideways but not down, the dealer wants around $400 for a full replacement. does anyone know if the gears can be changed or motor assembly only? seems like im getting fleeced. has anyone done this DIY job?

Search this forum on how to clean contacts inside the mirror control unit inside the cockpit. I am pretty sure that is the problem.
