As we celebrate all the pilgrims who braved the scarey Atlantic on wooden ships with sails to settle our new country, to have their own freedoms and govern themselves, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving. May this day and the push to years end be days full of love, safety, friendship and above all my best wishes for health for you and your loved ones. Warm
Thanks, Warm. Be thankful you're not working in retail like my girlfriend. She worked from 5 to 1 today. We visited her parents in assisted living in the afternoon and had warmed up deli pizza and salad for dinner at her place. I left shortly after 6:00 so she could go to bed and repeat that schedule for the rest of the weekend. I'm bringing a couple carafes of coffee and hot chocolate to her and her co-workers each morning by 8. Tomorrow ought to be fun for them. My daughter is making us a big thanksgiving meal mid-afternoon on Saturday.
Retail Cad, no 5 scopes on my knee an ACL recon and standing all day is a no no. Ya know all your posts I get the feeling many people give thanks to you. You have realized the greatest joy in life is living for other people and they reap the benefits of you! Warm
Thanks, Warm. Today, while we were making dinner, my GF joked that some day when we're married the other side of me is going to come out. I said "Why wait? I'll go plop down on the couch, put up my feet, turn on the game, and demand to be served beer, chips, & dip. Oh, and put on that French maid outfit and dust the TV, too."
Being primary caregiver for 15 years for my late wife probably taught me a few things. Also, as I told my GF today, she makes no demands of me, so doing things for her is a total joy.

Spending Thanksgiving week driving our LS430 and enjoying the luxury and power of a great road machine, Louisiana to Chicagoland and back to LA.
Oh what a feeling!
