I do remember reading about a NY cab driver using his LS430, and had clocked 450,000 miles on it at that time. I wonder where he or the car is at this time.

Yep. All he replaced were suspension bits other than normal maintenance, which is completely understandable considering it was doing cab duty in Manhattan. You just can't kill an LS.
Have you ever seen this? This guy sold these guys this LS430 and was there when they traded it (nothing wrong with the car with 350k+ miles) just because they wanted an SUV. There's nothing wrong with this car AFAIK, at least when this video was shot. It looks well worn but fine mechanically and how everything still works.
I use the car as a taxi/livery in nyc. Purchased in 2005 with 85k miles on it.
Oil changed with 5/30 M1 every 6 months (20k miles)
Regular fuel
Trans drained and filled, and BF changed every time i change my front brake pads or about once a year.
tb/wp done for the first time 260k.
at 310k i did struts all 4 strut mounts and lower control arm bushings.
please clarify:
“Oil changed with 5/30 M1 every 6 months (20k miles)”
After how many miles would you change the oil? Twenty thousand miles? And no problems changing oil only after twenty thousand miles of NYC stop/go driving?

amazing that they put 320,000 miles of driving on that car in only 12 years. Must not have done much else other than Drive, Drive, Drive!
I'd have to check to be sure, but I have over 170,000 miles on my 2001 LS430. I have a 2008 ES350 with over 300,000 that still zips around nicely. The LS is in far worse shape because it was up in Nebraska and the winters tore up the undercarriage pretty badly.
