Friends,
I have a 2002 LS 430 with 102,000 miles and I am wondering when, if ever, I would need to replace any and or all of the vacuum piping/air control valve assembly/vacuum control valve set...etc.,
The car is running terrific- just curious if I can improve performance/engine life. I love
working on the car when I can do it myself.
I have included a link to the vacuum piping ordering diagram from Sewell Parts for reference.
Thanks,
JP
In my experience, when vacuum tubes crack and start to leak, you will get a CEL and a code indicating such. Even my old Dakota, which was famous for leaky vacuum tubes, lit up the CEL and displayed a vacuum leak code on the radio display when the right buttons were pushed.
the same hoses and vac lines are on my 86 mr2 that came from the factory.i have 82k miles on it and no problems yet.also has same waterpump and thermastat.
