Well.... I was supposed to meet up tomorrow and pay for the car. The guy decided to not sell it to me anymore because he said that his wife needed his car. Yet he is also selling his s550 and 325i..... Im pretty sure he probably got a better offer somewhere and didnt want to sell to me anymore. On a second note, I found a 2004 sport ls430 with 134k miles. Silver on black. Has 2 sets of the oem 18 sport rims. He said he could do 14k on it. I figured if I sell one set of rims, my total cost would lower to around 13.3kish. So it sounds like a good deal to me. Im just worried about the high mileage although he has all the service records including the 90k service.

I also just found a 2004 pearl white with tan interior. Ultra package. 112k miles for 14k. Lol I just noticed everything is 14k that is very odd.

Just my opinion - $14K for an '04 UL sems like a very good deal to me. You may want to check comps on Auto Trader (I found it to be the most useful of the online sites when I was looking. KBB, etc. were a few thousand high). If it is in good condition and has the 90K service (incl. TIming Belt, Water Pump, etc. done), it is a steal. This assumes that the AIr Suspension is in good shape on a UL car.

Yeah I saw its about 17k+ for a 04 ul with 100k+ miles. I just have to clear up some time because it will be about an 8 hour drive for me.

Snap, I didn't even notice your location. Well my car was in great shape and the nada guide gave a high retail of like 19k so I figured it was a no brainer but now that I think about it that high figure was most probably for an ultra loaded model,idk. I would be green with envy if you scored a later model UL for the same price.
I do collision repair so I'm privy to the Mitchell crash books and one thing that I'm happy about is that the parts for the 01 model seem to be generally cheaper than the later year models.
If I had to do it over I would def look for a model with laser cruise. That sounds like the greatest feature ever.

Yeah. Im on the westbank. I learned that you cant follow kbb or nada. But 14k is a good price probably average. As long as you feel like it is worth it and didnt overpay. Hopefully I can get the 04 UL soon because the owner said he is not holding even if I put down a deposit. Old people I guess, the seller is literally like 70 years old LOL. You probably dont even have to worry about parts for your car regardless because these cars are basically bulletproof.... or so I've heard.

Make sure "ALL" major services were done to the miles had. Keep in mind, 120,000 is a huge service at the dealer, over $1,000 not over $1,200 though but, a bit pricey if looking to buy a used car I suspect most aren't thinking of that cost. If you buy at 114,000, people are probably trying to avoid that service fellow member. They figure why not rid of the car now and put the money made toward a new one before doing that "HIGE" service to the car. Makes sense. Me myself, the car is to reliable though pricey for services as long as I do regular services the car should last way beyond what I paid for it.

If you get any Lexus LS before 120,000 service is done, keep in kind that service is critical unless you or you know someone who can do the service items for far less, go for it without hesitation. Even if the car is at 114,000 its still a good deal based on the Lexus' of any models track record. If the car is past 120,000 make sure the 120,000 was done already which if thats the case, may turn out to be an even better deal to me if that service is done for you the $13,000-$14,000 is well worth it as long as service and car fax checks out. If you get the VIN# Lexus will run the service records no charge at most dealerships! HAve a awesome day fellow member and you wil find the car for you. I didnt like the 1st guys deal, didnt feel right. Take that as a blessing in disguise!! L.G.N.M
