Default What's the better deal?

There are a couple ls430 I have been looking at and can't decide which one to buy.

1st one is an 01 with 50k miles and is a basic. Black on tan with no extra options. The price is $15.9k

2nd one is an 03 UL with 92k miles, black on black with every option. The price is $17.9k

I can't decide which one to get. What is your guys take. Should I wait a year and get an 2005?

Thanks for any advice.

First of all I would get the 04-06 model. I like the mid-cycle refresh with Projector lights and LEDs on the back.

I have just bought an 04 with 36k miles for $20.5. I was looking for the base version as I didn't want to deal with potential costly repairs when looking at air suspension or nav. Nav is absolute anyway and my Garmin works better anyway. ML sound would be nice, but with a quick speaker upgrade you can get the same sound. The base sound system works great for me.

If you are patient and watch CL and Ebay I am sure you can find an 04 Base within your price range if you are ok with closer to 100k millage.

The prices you gave seem a bit high to me, but I'd get the one that looks and drives better.
The $ 2,000 price difference is not significant enough to make one deal better.

I would try and get a 2005 if you can. Thats what I did.

It sounds to me as if you may be not the most familiar with these cars. If you are willing to drive get one from a Lexus dealer, talk em down and look for a servcie history, have the body and car inspected and if you are willign to travel get a better car/deal than either fo these. Or get the 01 for 13,500 if it checks out. Good luck

I would say wait and get the 04-06. The led tail lights and projector headlights make the car look a lot nicer than the 01-03. That's what I would of done if I had did the research on this car
