It just wafts down the road with hardly any need for the gas. The first day I got it that was one of the first things I noticed. IDK if it's because it's big and heavy or because it's aerodynamic (or both), but geez this thing will just coast down the road like the wind is pushing it.
I saw this was replaced on a LS I was looking at on the net, Arlington Lexus. It is a CL does that make sense or is this related to the air shock system and it is a UL? Thanks Warm
Seriously, why my Honda Odyssey, which weighs as much, just tries to drag in the gears all the time really pisses me off! Clearly the result of an unsophisticated drivetrain. If you use your gas to get up to speed, why have the transmission drag in gear... that's what the brakes are for (and cheaper than clutch pack wear).
I love how my LS just coasts like a manual gear box in neutral... reminds me of the good old days when my dad used to coast his Plymouth Fury III down the road to the supermarket on weekends with me in the passenger seat, sometimes just coasting to the crossroad stop sign at 5 mph (with three pissed off cars behind us)... good memories everytime I let her freewheel!!!
