I would start with strut/shocks. I had the same symptoms with a new Suburban in '93. It took a number dealer visits for them to isolate the problem to bad front shocks from the supplier.

How about some more information on your car? Year, miles, mods, maintenance, history?

sorry about -----2004 LS430 UL.....Recently had 2 height sensors replaced, noticed that now, when my car hits a bump small or big, the steering wheel shakes.

I would suspect one leaky or blown front stut. You could take off the wheels and check for leaky struts. I just replaced a strut that must have been progressively leaky as the shakiness in steering over bumps got worse over a few weeks. Odd thing is that the strut was replaced less than a year ago. But then it could just take one big pothole.

Ok now this puts me in a small situation.....During the replacement of my height sensors, the lexus tech had a small accident in the my car.....So now I wonder if that accident had anything to due with this problem I am having. Lexus did compenstate me (free repair of one height sensor) but the car hasn't been right since it was returned to me......so I am taking it back on wed.
