EVERYTHING worked on my 2001 LS430 before I sold it recently. The only small problem was that the nav unit would read "Disk error" once in a while but It only happened if I hit the "agree" immedately after starting the car, I guess it needed time to boot up.

The very reason we decided to purchase an extended warranty when the wife purchased her 2005 LS. Anything that expensive and as many gadgets as the LS has-----an extended warranty was a "no brainer". And yes, we have used the extended warranty.

I'm in the same boat as the OP, 2001 with 145K, issues thus far:

1) Driver's Mirror, just flopping on the post. I put a metal screw right up through the plastic on the bottom and everything works other than the fold in fold out. I hear the motor when I start but It stops after 10 seconds.

2) radiator replacement--no big deal, at 143K

3) a-arm bushing at 120k. $150

If I didn't have an honest indy mechanic, I would think about getting something else, but the car is too reliable and looks too good to sell for $10K if I could even get that. It's the Egg McMuffin of luxury cars!

all i know is mine hasn't wandered since i put on coilovers and lowered it. it felt even tighter straight line or turning (more noticeable at high speeds for the straight line bit) when i had the rear sway bar installed.
Hey, I know very little about modifying a cars suspension, a rear sway bar could help .... and I am sure it wont hurt. I have no idea why it wanders on the highway ... If I did it would be fixed, lol. The front wheels are in spec, the rear camber is out a bit, but most here felt it was not causing the wandering.
