Default Looking to purchase an LS430

I've done some research thanks to this great forum and narrowed it down to an 05-06 LS430. My question now is for all the UL members, is it worth getting the UL? Any negatives to owning a UL model? Any difference in maintenance from base/ml/ul models? Thanks in advance for any help

Welcome! There are two problematic UL items:

- Air suspension may fail at or over 100K. From what I've read here, repair is $1K per corner, or replace with aftermarket coil overs or other options for under $2K. This seems to be frequently discussed on the forum.

- The laminated side windows (on UL and CL) may develop fogging and delamination. This seems to be fairly rare.

If you value the UL's rear seat amenities and air suspension, go for it. I didn't care for either and went for a CL.

It is definitely worth getting the UL for the minimal difference you will pay these days. Rear seat controls, massaging seats, fridge, PCS, cabin air purifier, second air conditioning compressor, variable air suspension, and adjustable suspension damping are all awesome. Only additional maintenance I can think of is changing the ultraviolet air purifier system filter and bulb when recommended, which is minimal. If you are going to do it, do it all the way and get the best that Lexus had to offer. I'm biased though, as I have an 05 UL with low miles for sale in the "for sale" section of this site and am looking to give someone a really good deal on one.

Ty, can you pm me the link? How did I overlook this. I've been scouring the forums and craigslist for a while now. Thanks for all the info so far guys!

I have a CL, and the only thing I miss about not having the UL is the upgraded rear seat amenities for when I have to shuttle people around. I guess it's more of a bling factor thing for me.

Otherwise, the only big thing about the UL is the air suspension, as mentioned.
