Default fog light issue

i am having problems with my fog lights they do not work so i replaced the whole hid kit and still does not work. i then noticed the fuse was burnt out and replaced that then i turned it on and it works for a split second and fuse burns out. i tried 3 fuses and do not know what the issue is. any help is appreciated

stock or aftermarket ^ ^ ^ fogs?

bad wires, water damage, bad ground, exposed wire, something like this perhaps.

well a couple years ago it flooded in houston and i drove in about 6 inches of rain. i am pretty sure the ballast and bulb got soaked in water bug its been working fine until now.

do you think i can use a T tap on my headlights to run straight to my fogs?
