How do you replace brake sensors?
I've changed all brake pads all the way around and my car is still saying I have break wear! Hook me up guys I saw the sensor but don't have a clue on how to replace.
Thanks
Thanks
they just unplug.follow your broken sensor to the connection.thats where you take it apart,or you can repair the old sensor.look at the diy section for instructions.the sensor is only a looped wire that seperates when the hub rubs through.

The brake sensor is a one use part - once it wears through it cannot be reset it has to be replaced or there is a diy repair that involves soldering the wires together and building the wear material back up and reinstalling. I think the sensors can be bought on line (non OEM) for as little as 15-20 bucks or less if you shop around.

Just to comfirm everything that's been said, I purchased an after-market sensor on line for about 25 bucks. When you receive it, it will be self explanatory. It is approximately 16 inches long and simply plugs and un-plugs in. The other end of course is inserted into the brake pad and is held in by a small clip. Hope this helps.
