Default stock air

hey guys i just wantd some advice for something i plan on doing. so i have an 02 ul i want to conver my stock air into air runner style i already a shop that can mod my stock bags or should i say change the fittings to the quick fit type or whatever you call it. so i wantd to go this route insted of UAS cuz its less hassel to me i wont have to run to much wiring just the basic for the compressor and pressure switch and what not. i wont ave to worry about solenoid or any relays for a switch box because it will be manual purge out the switches like airunners. ive calculated the budget and im lookin to spend about 800$ lmk what you guys think or any other suggestions advice or i just wanna find a way to make my air faster thanks appreciate it

I had this same idea when I first started modding my LS. I messaged a few people who did what you are looking at doing. Long story short it didnt work out to well. The stock struts are not very durable in this situation. They ended up with blown struts and bags.

I figured if it was that easy to blow, then it doesnt make sense to have these struts for the long run. The aftermarket UAS bags can handle 140+ psi, they are a lot tougher than the oem bags. Just take my advice, and avoid modding your stock struts, it will just be a waste of time, money, and energy.

stock lexus airbags are relatively unforgiving when lowering past factory limits.

although i think the LS460 may be bucking this trend, it's too soon to speak on long term consequences.

Like everyone said above, it's not going to work. Hit up BIGGZ from Maui on this forum because I know he was trying and then went UAS route. A lot of aftermarket air options out there...only thing is they cost money.
I yanked my stock air and now on coilovers.Good luck!
