what battery do you use?
my positive post is corroding, cleaned and applied dielectric grease buy doesnt help.must have a leak around the positive post so its time to change the battery.i am thinking of the optima yellow top battery.does anyone have that battery installed?what battery do you have and would you recommend?thanks jim
ps i have the lexus battery in there now.
I use a standard Toyota battery. I've heard good things about the Optima but not good enough to spend the extra $ 80 it costs when a standard battery will last fine for 5 years. If money is no object, get the Optima. I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for.
I replaced mines with a autocraft gold
brand advance auto sells.it has 700cca and 875ca. Its been doings its job well for 2yrs so far. When my old battery went up all electronic were acting funny in my car too.

Any chance to get a 20% discount on one of those batteries would help persuade me to get one as well. You must have caught them at a good time cause they normally are not on sell. You may want to rethink not putting the battery cover back on, it keeps the battery from getting wet.

i would really look into "super start AGM batteries" you can buy them at any Oreilly Auto Parts, might be a order only item but its the best. FULL JELL battery. thats what i would put in my car.
Honestly if your not running any aftermarket electrical items that pull more amperage from your system most any standard battery that fits will be fine. Otherwise I would look into a deep cycle battery with a lot of reserve capacity like an Odyssey/Hawker, Kinetic, Optima or XS Power.
