Default Oscillating vents

I recently disconnected my battery in order to clean the posts. After the reconnect I noticed after over a year of ownership that I know have oscillating vents!(center 2 vents) I never knew that my base model (NAV/ML) even had that feature. I like it and was wondering if they can be turned off and if they always oscillate? Pretty Kewl!

You need an owners manual. Go to Lexus web site and download one there as a pdf document.

I have the manual but never actually read it. One of the great things of LS430 ownership are the continual surprises down the road of options we were never aware of. Thanks all!

Understood. This car is so amazing that it takes several hundred pages to describe all the features in the manual. It is difficult to sit down and read it in entirely at one sitting. And if you mange to get thru it without actually trying those features, it is highly likely that you will forget many, many of them.

Well... you don't have a "base" model if you have NAV and ML. You probably have a Modern Luxury model, which is far from base. I think the REAL BASE (no NAV) model does not have oscillating fans.

It's amazing how smart the oscillating fans are. It knows when you first get in the car to direct only to the driver as you would prefer anyway. I've gone one year without even knowing I had this feature. Surprises Surprises.

Oscillating fans are wonderful. The button is on the left side of the control panel for your heating and cooling. Green light is on.

I have Nav so I assume it is controlled through the Nav system.

Well I'll be darned... so "base" ain't so bad after all. I would have thought minus the NAV screen that they'd just cut the oscillation out, but I guess Lexus thought it was a good enough feature for all to have.

+100 for Lexus.
