Haha. Time to keep quiet on issues. Since mine's not cpo, I'm going to try and take it apart tomorrow and see if I can get the clip/spring working.

 

Small tiny plastic clip was broken. Tried super gluing it for now, but don't think it'll last long. Anyone have any suggestions on where to look for a spare / junk vanity mirror? It literally must be a $.20 part so I can't justify paying $200+ for a whole new mirror / light combo.

And the plastic part split into 3 pieces so I couldn't put it back together exactly as it was before.

 

My 1/2 *** super glue fix didn't work. I put everything back together and the clip broke again.

 

Are these lights referred to as anything else? I'm trying to find one on ebay with no luck. There aren't many 04-06 cars being sold for parts - yet another testimonial to how long these cars last.

 

My right rear vanity mirror in my 04 UL failed to open a couple of weeks ago. I opened it using a 3x5 card and found the spring not functioning.

I have since taken it to my Lexus dealer and they replaced it under my CPO extended Lexus Platimun Warranty. My invoice shows P/N 81340-50150-A2 with a list price of $314.97 and a labor charge of $23.40. They call it 'LAMP ASSY, RR VAN".
