Default Power button fell through. How do I get it back

Hey guys my power/snow button fell through and now it's stuck and I can't get it. How do I get back there to glue it back.

Thanks,

You need to take out the trim pieces to get back there.
Have a read of this thread, specifically posts 7, 8 and 9 on how to get the wood trim off. Then its pretty self explanitory once you have the item off.

I had these trims off not long ago to change the bulbs to led, and that particular button was rather hard to remove on my car. How hard have you been pressing the buttons?

Don't you go faster if you hit the power button harder?

The bottom unit can be removed without tools.
Just open the small tray next to the power button and wriggle the bottom unit loose with a finger. When the right side pops out, put your finger in the gap and use the bottom unit as a lever (pushing right from your finger). Then the left side pops out and the complete unit is loose.
Disconnect the connectors and the cable fixing (bij pushing together the protruding small plastic parts of the holding.

Then you can see the 3 screws (cross head) of the unit with the power switch.
(one screw on each side and one in the middle.)
Stuck an old T-shirt or similar in the gap where the bottom unit was, to avoid loosing a screw in the space below.
Put some double-sided tape on your cross-head screwdriver and remove the screws.
Then the unit can be taken out. It is inclusive of the cd-changer cover, which is clipped in. Just pull carefully on the cd-changer cover and all comes out neatly.

The back of the switch unit looks like this:

In this case I had removed the height switch.
The red ellipses shows the clips that holds the switch in place.
On each side of the switch it looks as follows:

Th switch is just pushed in from the back. Make sure it is not upside down

Hope the above helps.
I feel it always is an easier job if you know on beforehand what to expect and how it all looks.

Jac

I see you've witnessed some of my work in the past.
