I just ordered a new 2005 LS430 remote key, and will have it keyed at a local key shop. Where do I find instructions to program the key to the car?

Welcome. Hopefully, you ordered it new from a Lexus dealer and not from ebay. Do some searching here about successes and challenges with replacement keys.

I would suggest having it done at your Lexus dealer and be sure to bring all of your fobs, old and new. Per my dealer, all fobs are needed to program a new master key. Others have had success using a locksmith.

yes it is a smart key. I do have the master key. I found on the internet how to delete all of the current keys except the master. Then add back in the new smart key, and valet key. But it didn't say the year for Lexus LS430. I also found something indicating you could by-pass scanning in the new smart key, but had no detail.

 

My dealer wanted $250.00 for the key and another $60.00 to program. I www.autotransponder.com sell OEM new smart keys. I paid $97.00 including shipping. Now I am trying to bypass the $60.00 programming fee. $60.00 for a 5 minute fee???

 

did you already recieve the OEM key from autotransponder? i would have to have Lexus program mine, since I only have a Valet fob . let us know how well the key works.

I took my new key to a local locksmith who had to cut it by hand. Dealer programmed, and now it works great!

Strongly recommend buying New Lexus Smart keys from them. Saved over $150.00's by purchasing new OEM key fob verses buying directly from the dealer.

FYI- must use dealer to program smart key fob, for they have to scan in t the "bar code".

Bought a new pre-cut Master Key from SewellParts for my 2005 LS430.
I have 1 old Master Key that works.
Is there no way for me to program the new key on my own, without paying a local Lexus dealership (or a local locksmith) to program it for me?
