Default My 05 LS430 takes time while shifting

Since I bought the car last year , it only had 50012 miles on it, when I put the car in drive from park, it seems like it delays going into gear.
Sometimes when I go from R to D, it seems to lag and delay as well.
Anyone have a common issue ?
-----
The tranny seems to shift fine.
I am not a BIG fan of driving in D though - Sport mode is so much better : )

Any help would be great !!
Thanks

I think this topic has come up a number of times and it was deemed normal. Do a search and check it out.

My 05 did the same thing. I had the transmission fluid changed at 100k and it's much better since then. I don't even notice a delay anymore.

Give it some time ? Do mean like some time to get used to it ? lol
Or are you saying that the car with 50,000 + miles is still not broken in yet ?
I like JimsGX response. but I half the mileage
Should I get the trans fluid changed ?

Mikeybee21,

Here's a link to a message thread on this topic. It won't provide you with a definitive answer on whether or not you should change your fluid, but it will give you some additional information to help you make a decision...

Mine does the same thing. I figure it's normal since I've got less than 34k mi on it. I've gotten used to keeping my foot on the brake for a bit longer in b/t reverse to drive/park to drive transitions. Mine seems to have a longer delay when cold, don't really even notice it after the car's warmed up, is yours like that too?
