I'll bet you're right.... if it even lasts that long. It looks like about a $6K mileage premium, which is about half of the original cost of the UL options. A really smart attention getting price strategy on the part of the owner.

Great point. So much technology is being packed into current models, it really makes one think about what impact that has on depreciation of older models without that technology. My current NAV system is my Droid phone and it works very well. As a practical matter, I'm not sure how essential the in-dash NAV is. Miles or gadgets.... I'm fairly stumped....Ugg

When I was actively looking (18 months ago) for a low mile car, a 06 Premium with 6k miles popped up one morning at a Florida Carmax lot. It was an estate car that the heirs had just driven down to Carmax and cashed out. I called the local dealer at about 11am that same day and asked salesman to walk out to the car and see if interior was mint and to verify the car had not been smoked in. He called back 30 minutes later, I was gonna give him 10k deposit over phone, but he said it was already sold - less than 4 hours after it popped up on the net for full asking price - think is was $34k.
I searched for over a year for a near mint low mile 05 or 06 430. I looked at many here in FL that seemed to be good candidates but found that low miles was not always a good indication of a "near mint" car. Extremely low mile cars are often owned by the very elderly and oftentimes have lots of cosmetic blemishes.
I looked at over a dozen cars before finding my 27K mile 06 about 2 months ago. It was very nearly perfect with a complete Lexus service history but had a few more miles than some others I had seen - but it was, by far, the nicest.
Pictures don't always tell the complete story, either. Many cars that looked great with lots of pictures just didn't show nearly as well in person. I would never make a purchase without personally examining and driving the car.
I'm certainly not knocking this car, as it may well be spectacular and it's sure priced right.

Good points - pictures typically don't give enough detail to show small finish problems, especially if from a private party. We recently bought a 2007 Highlander with 12k miles from a couple that was in their 90s. They were selling the car and moving into assisted living. The car did have way more numerous scuffs and minor scratches on it than you would expect at such low mileage but most of them polished out with vigorous use of rubbing compound, polish, then clay bar and wax.
with any other car this would be and still is a stellar deal - but the reason why I bought mine was because of the Bulletproof powertrains the LS series has, so low or high mileage for me isnt an issue as long as the mantainance records add up.
good point also about the exterior care as well - i lucked up that my 05' only had 1 minor ding on the roof and that's all. Im more leaned in on the reliability of the car as well, so some dings and scratches arent a biggie.
But I have found that most lexus models I see are in great shape, because most Lexus owners do take good care of thier Vehicles
