Default labor charge for suspension work?

what's the average labor charge to replace this front suspension stuff (both sides)?

upper and lower control arms
air shocks
ball joints
outer tie rods
steering rack bushings
alignment

Local Toyota dealer wants almost $1000, @10hrs labor. I say no way.

That sounds about right, they going by the book.
My local Toyota dealer charges $120/hr.
You can always take your car to some side-road car shop for $50/hr labor.

EDIT: If all they asking is $1,000 for parts and labor, than thats actually cheap.

I'm curious to know why you'd need your upper and lower control arms replaced.

See the black parts on it? Those wear out then start clanking/squeaking and eventually will snap (highly unlikely tho)

I thought so. My car has 157k miles on it and I really don't hear any squeaking from the suspension pieces. Interested to see how many miles the OP has if he has squeaking from the suspension.

Please, do not use upper control arms off ebay. They are chinese knock-offs. Bevare ! they are recycled old parts and won't last a week on LS430.

I've got 110k miles on my '02. Lotsa squeaks, clunks, and overall slop in the entire suspension. Right front air shock is leaking too.

I bought all new genuine Lexus parts from Sewell, cost $3400 shipped. Ouch.

What do you guys think labor should run to replace front lower control bushings and sway bar bushings. One spot told me 480.00 plus supplies for control arm bushings alone.

Sway bar bushings is 10min job. In Moscow my trusty mechanic friend charges me 15$ for fronts and 12$ for rears.
To replace fr lwr bushings is not hard job as well, but requires alignment afterwards. My price here is 40$ per one bushing. +60$ alignment.

But that's Moscow
