I've done it on my 01, wasn't too bad. Just have to have an extension long enough to get the socket to the plugs.

I had to move the oil dip stick out of the way just a little bit. There's a bolt and bracket that holds it in place. Other than that, just swivels and extensions is all you need. Oh! and maybe a magnet if you don't have the spark plug socket.

Thanks, just pulled the covers off, seems faily simple.....but the plugs are original, they have 157,000 mile on them, probably my hesitation issue.....:>)

Battery may be an issue on the rearmost plug on the right.

I had to release the battery clamp and push the battery as far right as possible to be able to get in without actually removing the battery.

ND is standard. When you remove the spark plugs it's best to do so when the engine is warm, not cold and not too hot. Less chance of any plug to thread failure. Apply some die-electric grease to the shank of the COP before you re-install it. Helps keep moisture at bay.

Might want a look at this, especially the second and third paragraph. I happened to catch Pat doing this bit on his show recently and thought how things have changed. Back in my time you just slapped the dino on the *** and it went where pointed.

Yep, some habits are hard to forget. However, I believe he got my point.
