been thinking of trying to go with a negative offset... whats the lowest possible offset you think i can go on a stock body without doing any mods to fenders etc... post pics along with size and offset if yall setups please.

 

without rolling fenders lowered on coilovers i guess around +25 with a stretched tire (like a 245x30x20 or 255x30x20). with rolled rear fenders then around +20 with shaved rear fenders around +15 all with the same size rear tires and on a 10" wide rear rim. give or take a few mm but i know i can't be that far off. with a mild pull of the rear fender around 10mm and the longer than stock rear arms adding more negative camber you could run a 0 or -5mm if you were on a 245x30x20 on a 20x10" rear rim. all these specs would be very flush with the tire up agains the fender all close like

please let me know if anyone else has a different opinion or real world knowledge...

my closest comparison would be right now i am sitting at a +20 offset (super flush in the rear) on a 20x10 255x30x20 with 5mm shorter rear arms and a shaved rear fender. so if i ran the 5mm longer than stock rear arm that would be a difference of 10mm right there so a +10 offset, and with a fender pull of around 10mm i could run a 0 offset at that point on a 255x30x20 20x10", so on a 245x30x20 you could run what a -5 or such negative offset. if you wanted to pull the fenders more than you could run more negative. good luck

Nice setup. just for comparison,I'm currently running at stock ride height: 18x9" +21 with 245/45/R18's all 'round. the front is just outside of the front guards,and the rear is tucked by about 10mm.

The front looks like you might get another couple, maybe 5mm.

 

it is brand new wheels that you ordered correct? if so how come you need spacer? kinda wasted the brand new custom wheels no?

 

Running 19X9 et 31 on the front, 19X10 et 38 on the rear 245/40 all round, on Tanabe DF230 springs. Very nice stretch on the rear, not quite enough stretch for my liking on the front, but its impossible to find a 225 or 235 with a high enough load rating(97 or above). With another 20-30mm drop , more neg creeps in obviously... I could probably get 8mm or 10mm spacer on the rears, and front maybe a 5mm. Front is fully flush or slightly over at the mo:










All depends how low you wanna go...
(i havent had to do any guard work yet, but if i drop the front another 30mm, i probably will have to)

 

i have a 5mm spacer that i can put on the front but it slightly rubs presently with someone heavy in the passenger seat over big bumps and dips, i had to raise it up slightly to what you see in these pics above, believe me i wanted a slight bit lower too but this is prolly the lowest it will be for utility and functionality purposes.

these wheels were ready now and within my budget. to get different offsets it would have cost a lot more and taken a lot longer. is 15mm rear wheels difference that big of a deal¿ i love vip obviously but i feel that as long as the fitment is on point and clean some of that stuff is just overkill (coming from the guy who didn't want to wait extra months for different wheels).

i thought this wheel style would look good and hopefully i don't see another LS with these same wheels on them ever in my area so this is why i didn't get the modular vr08's or ordens or something else that everyone has.
