Don't have exactly the answer you're looking for, but very often Advance or Autozone, etc will read your codes for you for free.

What year is the car?
Does it have navigation?

I am trying to find out how to get in the service menus for my 2004 LS430.
I will try it out and start a separate thread about it if I succeed.
(also if I mess things up...)

Jac

OK,

There is a sequence for navigation bypass unlock (just look it up on this forum).
There is even a video on it:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysXzM9t7erQ
During the sequence I noticed you can see an error log button.
Try that and see if it gets you meaningful information.

(btw, this does not work on my nav.)

Hope this helps! Let us know.

Good luck,

Jac

I did some reading in the repair manual and it might very well be the case that this procedure only gives information on audio and nav systems....

And that's not what you are looking for, I'm afraid.
Sorry to have put you on the wrong track.
