Default 90k service close to it

Juat came back from the dealership where Ive been doin my oil changes and services . Up to now Ive been satisfied wit goin there but Im kinda nervous approaching the 90k service. Ive been havin my 01 LS since about 11k miles and for about 6 yrs now. I know I have to change my timing belt and check on my water pump and a few other things but I just feel like the dealership wants my money and wants me to spend. They mentioned to me that my left front and right rear air shock assemblies are leaking. How will I ever really know ? I just think they see the car is now 10 yrs old and they want me to spend .. The car drives smooth and I thought everything was ok besides of course taking care of the scheduled maintenance intervals . Ive always went to the dealer for everything is it time to go to a independant trustworthy mechanic? Anything anyone can recommend ?

Look at the shock and see if they are leaking oil down them that is visable. If so, you can probably trust their comments.
