Default Excessive tire wear

Does any one knew the alignment specs for an 05 LS430?

Tires are at 35 PSI

Inside

Outside

I am going this weekend to a trusted alignment/wheel shop to see what they say, but I wonder if any of you had this issue before.

Tires are General Altimax

It looks like they were low for some time. Maybe your bushings are worn.

I had those same Tires on my 95 LS and they wore pretty evenly. hopefully you just need an alignment adjustment and nothing else

I had the same tire installed on my 03 and they last shorter than I expected, similiar wear pattern on the inside. Replaced the struts and current tires are wearing evenly.

Barring an alignment problem, that wear is the classic sign of having been run with air pressure too low.

2005 LS430 alignment specs attached. 33psi is the setting for 245/45/18 96W and 31psi for 225/55/17 95H. 35psi sounds too high.

Did your car track straight or was there a slight pull to a side?

Thank you for the alignment specs, I was looking for them! The Door Jam PSI is for factory tires, let alone its only a "guide" so that people do not under inflate. 35PSI is fine, and great for these tires. 31 is too low imo. Also I know for a fact if its over inflated the insides would wear out rather then the outsides. Under inflation you would get outsides of the tires wearing, thing is the only one side has a lot more wear then the other, which tells me alignment issue. I look at them and visually every once in a while check if the tires are low, and never has the tire ran low on air for extended periods of time, that I am aware off, my dad usually tells me that he needs air and Ill use the compressor we have. It did pull to the right for a bit and told him to get an alignment but I asked for the alignment specs and he said the printer was broken. I am personally going to take it to the shop I use for my car which has helped me tremendously with my car when the dealer messed it up, so maybe his alignment is still screwed. Ill keep you guys posted.

Lower control arm bushing was busted

Both of them on the front were replaced and the car was realigned, it tracks straight now and no longer pulling to the right

Glad you got it fixed and thanks for the update on what the problem was. How many miles on the car ? Do you think it was a normal wear item from just mile s driven or was it related to hitting a major pothole, etc?

85k

The 4 tires have abnormal 2 which need to be replaced very soon. The place I went to recommended 4 new tires. I don't know if the tired worn due to bad alignment 100% as they could if ran low on air.

The tires other wise have 5/32nd of tread. were they are not worn down.

Next tires will be monitored a lot better and no longer going to tirekingdom or similar for alignments.

The shop I take my car too did a better job getting everything into spec.
