Thanks again for all the good info. I decided to get one that is not CPO but has the nav at least. My daily commute is less than ten miles so it will take me a long time to put mileage on the odo. Also I can get a very good warranty for under $1,000.

With regards to lowering, does anyone make a lightweight spring?... Tanabe? Tein?

Yes,Tanabe and tein both make lowering springs. I would suggest replacing the shocks at the same time if you go for that option,as putting lower springs on old shocks often kills them quite quickly as they start running over a different section of the tube than they have worn into over the many miles of life they've already had,and the seals can fail.

What shock/spring combination is recommended to maintain close to stock ride quality?

If you are considering an 04, try to avoid the early 04s and check out the transmission thoroughly. They have had some issues.
