There is nothing in the maintenance schedule about EFI cleaning but the dealer says I'm supposed to do that along with oil cleaner. I know the dealers tend to upsell their services but is any of this true?

EFI cleaning should include more than just the fuel injectors, such as the throttle body, throttle body flap, throttle body idle ports, etc.

Fuel injector cleaners are not designed to clean throttle body components, so a dealer's EFI service should go above and beyond a fuel injector cleaning. If you regularly use gas from a TOP TIER retailer (https://www.toptiergas.com/licensed-brands/), your fuel injectors will probably not benefit from any additional cleaning.

If your throttle response is good, you get 9-10L/100km highway, and your wide-open-throttle acceleration is good, you won't probably won't receive any benefits from an dealer's EFI service. Just make sure you always use TOP TIER fuel and you shouldn't ever have fuel injector problems resulting from deposits on them.

"In response to increasing levels of carbon deposits in modern engine designs, the Environmental Protection Agency mandated a minimum level of detergent for all gasoline sold in the United States in 1996. However, some automakers believe the minimum does not go far enough to ensure optimal vehicle performance and their ability to meet increasingly-stringent fuel economy and emissions requirements. The TOP TIER program and performance standard were developed to guarantee that program participants’ gasoline meets stricter targets for engine cleanliness."

"AAA engaged the services of an independent International Standards Organization 17025 certified engine testing lab to perform an ASTM International standard test on fuels. Among brands tested, non-TOP TIER gasolines caused 19 times more engine deposits than TOP TIER brands after just 4,000 miles of simulated driving. Such carbon deposits are known to reduce fuel economy, increase emissions and negatively impact vehicle performance, particularly on newer vehicles." <- meaning direct injection engines

"TOP TIER™ is a fuel performance standard written by auto manufacturers to assist in keeping the engine cleaner, thus resulting in improved customer experience. Since auto companies are not able to dictate fuel regulations or fuel standards, the TOP TIER™ logo serves as an indication of a station where the fuel marketer is supportive and offers the vehicle manufacturers' request for higher standards in fuel."

"TOP TIER™ fuel marketers are required to use TOP TIER™ for all for all octane grades of gasoline and diesel sold at their stations. TOP TIER™ is a standard in fuel many automakers feel is necessary for acceptable engine cleanliness performance for all vehicles, regardless of octane requirements."

"Formulations are proprietary to each company, however, each formulation is screened for compliance to the TOP TIER™ requirements." <- some brands may go above and beyond TOP TIER requirements

"TOP TIER™ licensed brands are formulated to meet the stringent requirements of ten leading automotive manufacturers and four leading diesel manufacturers. The majority of automakers and engine manufacturers today do not recommend adding any additives to the fuel. Please consult your owner’s manual to find out if using aftermarket fuel additives is recommended for your vehicle."

Any product that has chemicals that clean the injectors will also work on gunge in the tank and fuel lines, and send it straight to the injectors. Any tune up in a bottle is snake oil.

This is one of the factor why some cars still runs very good at high mileage and some runs poorly.
I have used for years Sea Foam larger bottle on my other cars and vans. I have used 1 can when gas is less than 1/8 level and driver for while and added full tank. Great performance and mileage.
