I have a black on black 04 430, Think of getting the window trim painted out/Blacked out. Are there any pictures out there of one done? I enjoy the chrome accents on my car but almost think the blacked out chrome window trim would be nice. Any pics ???

 

I have blacked out window chrome before with black out tape, similar to pinstripe vinyl except thicker. It looked great and lasted for the 7 years I owned the car. Just so happens I just bought some for my LS, but have not had a chance to put it on yet.

I choose this route because it is easily reversible, and a LOT less expensive, and you get the pleasure of doing it yourself !

 

can you provide a little more info on the tape you're referring to? Is this something available at the local NAPA or Autozone? How about a pic or link to the product. Thanks!

Sorry, I threw out the package already, so I can't tell you who made mine.

It is easily found in retailers who sell vinyl do-it-yourself pinstripe packages.

The LS pictured is ugly not because the window trim in blacked out, but because everything, wheels, windows and even the headlights are !
