2004 LS430 UL - Steering wheel shake between 55-65 mph

Which is GOOD because it means we don't have to have the tire unmounted from the wheel to replace a silly battery or an expensive, faulty sensor!

Since the tires on a brand spankin' new Lexus are covered by the tire manufacturers warranty and not by Lexus, I don't think the tires on a CPO will be covered by Lexus. That doesn't mean they won't be willing to help you out with a replacement, but they aren't obligated to.
I got a set of Michelin LTX2's for my LX last year, 1" larger in diameter (non-OEM size) from my dealer. Previous CPO tires were Bridgestone Dueler HT's. One thing I noticed immediately is the Michelins require hardly any weights to bring them into balance, and this is for a big, 32" diameter 40 lb SUV tire! The bridgestones had a reasonable number of weights. I had a set of Pro Comp AT's on my toyota truck that required a lot of weight. IMHO, the amount of weight required says something about the tire manufacturer's tolerances & quality. WHen my Bridgestone Turanza CPO tires on my LS wear out, I'm planning to get Michelins. For my winter tires, I plan to get Michelin X-ice2's.
