Warped rotor - Rotor replacement?
#16
You have had these problems for awhile, though most people would fix their brakes as soon as they got noisey, you continue to drive it.
Get the whole job done by a trusted loyal independent or the dealer(ask at the bank or church maybe). Sounds as if this is about money and hunting for the best deal, and/or cheapest concocted fix. Usually this ends up costing you more in the long run. Good luck it's only tour daily driver.

Well I'm not just driving around without doing anything, I've gone to three different shops, STS and NTB are far from reliable and they both told me to get everything on my car replaced from the shocks and struts to the front and back brakes and then I have also gone to an independent shop and they said that the brakes function fine and that it would essentially be a waste of money to replace everything as they still have life left and still function correctly. However, the noise has been annoying me ever since but its not really worth 400 dollars or so to replace all my brakes and sensors just to get a small noise to go away.

With the R1 Brakes website I could potentially replace the rotors and pads for only 200 dollars whereas the sensors would add another 50 per wheel. That's why I want to know if the sensor is really that important or if it is just a fail safe method of determining whether or not I need new pads
